SSIR students at Generali Genève Marathon

The 18th Generali Genève Marathon took place in Geneva on May 4-5, 2024, bringing together fans of running at distances from 1 to 42 km. The streets of the city were transformed into a venue for an impressive sporting event and a real celebration. This year was a record year in terms of the number of runners — 21,733 people took part in this celebration of sport. The organizers had to turn away more than 4,000 willing runners to ensure the high quality of the event. Spectators were presented with exciting sporting performances, supported by applause and enthusiastic cheers.

Throughout the route, participants were supported by spectators as well as musical performers and DJs who created a real party atmosphere. On Saturday from the very morning the streets of the city were filled with runners and spectators. On this day juniors could try themselves on the distance from 1 to 3 km, adults on the distance of 5 and 10 km. Also on this day it was possible to take part in Nordic walking for a distance of 10 km. On Sunday, a half marathon (21 km) and a marathon (42 km) took place.
