The programme includes lectures by foreign law professors, representatives of international organisations such as the United Nations, the World Intellectual Property Organisation, the World Trade Organisation, as well as legal practitioners from FIFA, CAS and the Olympic Committee.

For more than a century, Switzerland has enjoyed the status of the capital of international sport. Since 1915, Lausanne has been home to the IOC International Olympic Committee, which develops dozens of sports. FIFA and IIHF are based in Zurich, and UEFA in Nyon.

Lausanne is also home to the headquarters of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
