Geneva occupies a key place in international law-making and world politics. More than 22 international organizations are located here: the European headquarters of the UN, the International Labor Organization, the World Trade Organization (WTO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and others. More than 250 non-governmental organizations are located here, as well as more than 1,000 multinational corporations.
